Jabal Omar Development Company’s executive management conducted a site visit to Sofitel Jabal Omar Hotel in Phase 4 of Jabal Omar Destination, to review the latest progress and oversee the final stages of the hotel’s readiness ahead of its phased opening during Q4 2026.

During the visit, the management inspected the hotel’s various facilities, monitored operational and fit-out works, and verified the completion of requirements necessary to receive the guests of the Two Holy Mosques — as part of the Company’s ongoing field oversight to ensure its projects meet the highest standards.

Sofitel Jabal Omar, with 1,141 rooms and suites spread across four towers, six fine dining restaurants, wellness facilities, and meeting rooms, represents a landmark addition to the hospitality offering at Jabal Omar Destination. Upon the opening of all towers, it will become the largest Sofitel-branded hotel globally by number of rooms and suites, further strengthening the presence of world-class hotel brands in the heart of Makkah.

The progress at the hotel is part of the ongoing completion of Phase 4 development works at Jabal Omar Destination, which earlier this year saw the opening of Rotana Jabal Omar Hotel — comprising three hotel towers with 655 rooms and suites — contributing to the Destination’s expanded capacity to serve pilgrims and visitors.
