Jabal Omar Development Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tamimi Markets to open the retailer’s first branch in Makkah’s central area, located within Souq Bab Makkah at Jabal Omar Destination.

The agreement aims to expand the range of retail services available to pilgrims, visitors and residents by bringing one of Saudi Arabia’s leading retail brands to a strategic location near the Grand Mosque.

The planned branch forms part of the Company’s development plans for Souq Bab Makkah, one of the latest retail destinations within Jabal Omar, and will provide visitors with convenient access to food, consumer products and everyday essentials.

The MoU reflects Jabal Omar Development Company’s approach to establishing partnerships with leading Saudi brands and strengthening the destination’s retail mix to deliver an integrated experience combining hospitality, shopping and essential services.

The agreement also supports the Company’s efforts to enhance the appeal of Jabal Omar Destination and further develop its retail offering in response to the continued growth in the number of pilgrims and visitors travelling to Makkah.
