In the framework of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal’s initiative “How to be a role model”

The Secretariat of the Holy City and Jabal Omar lead Makkah Schools Maintenance Project

In the framework of the initiative launched by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Prince of Makkah region, entitled “How to be a role model”; H.E. the Secretary of the Holy City Dr. Osama bin Fadel Al-Bar launched the Social Responsibility Program sponsored by Jabal Omar Development Company and Ruwad Civil Construction, in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Holy Capital and the General Directorate of Education in Makkah region. The program is represented in JODC’s bearing of the maintenance costs of a group of public schools in Makkah, within the “Social Responsibility and Community Service” programs supported by the Secretariat of the Holy City in cooperation with the private sector. H.E. the Secretary of the Holy City has activated the program from the Al-Nahrawan Secondary School in the central region of the Reea Bakhsh Neighborhood; in the presence of Dr. Talal Al-Harbi, Deputy Director of Education in Makkah Region; Mr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Subeaei, Chairman of JODC; Mr. Yasser bin Faisal Al-Sharif, CEO of JODC; Mr. Salah al-Belawi, Chairman of Ruwad Civil Construction; Eng. Raed Samarqandi, General Manager of the Safety and Social Services in the Secretariat of the Holy City, and a number of officials in the Holy City.

H.E. Dr. Osama Al-Bar praised the initiative provided by JODC, and expressed his hope that the companies will follow Jabal Omar’s experience and benefit from it in consolidating the concept of “Social Responsibility and Community Service”, and developing the meanings of belonging and loyalty to the land of this country and its citizens; in addition to providing these services by raising the level of these scientific monuments or public facilities within the social responsibility towards this holy city, which we are all honored to serve. Furthermore, Mr. Yasser Bin Faisal Al-Sharif expressed the company’s pride in its participation in this program; stressing that the company will not hesitate to perform its duty and responsibility towards the community and serving the nation, and all that contributes to the development of this Holy City; stressing that JODC is a national company that harnesses all its potential to serve the nation; to always be an added value to the national economy.

Dr. Talal Al-Harbi also praised the idea adopted by JODC; noting that it is a leading idea based on legitimate and national pillars, and reflects the keenness on community participation and the contribution to the facilities development, especially as it falls under the umbrella of the “how to be a role model” project. It also stems from our Islamic religion, which urges us to become a good role model in all of our positions, and proceeds from the Islamic religion’s ethics and principles that urge us towards morality.
