Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University honors Jabal Omar Development Company

MAKKAH, December 2019 – At a ceremony held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Labor and Social Development Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC) was presented with an award in recognition of its participation in the training and leadership guidance initiative for women, and for its permanent contribution to women’s empowerment in the private sector, which is one of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The participation of Jabal Omar Development Company in the training and leadership guidance initiative for women, organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in collaboration with Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and INSEAD, is an extension of JODC’s ongoing partnership with the ministry at a time when Saudi Arabia is undergoing a major transition, during which the Kingdom’s enlightened leadership looks forward to the country’s transformation into a diversified economic power in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which considers that the nation’s people are the cornerstone of the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve the Vision’s objectives.
“We at Jabal Omar Development Company are proud of the achievements of Saudi women and how they have demonstrated their abilities in various fields across all sectors,” said Chief Shared Services Officer Mr. Alaa AM. Hakeem. “This initiative is the optimal model for the continuous efforts to provide the ideal environment and provide Saudi women with the capabilities and skills that enable them to contribute effectively to the social and economic regeneration of our country.”

The JODC spokesperson also pointed out that this award will further motivate the company’s efforts to contribute effectively to achieving the objectives of Vision 2030 in terms of increasing the proportion of women in leadership positions, as well as supporting and empowering women working in the private sector.
The training and leadership guidance initiative for women targets female employees who show the potential to occupy leadership positions in various sectors, and aims at providing them with an ideal environment in which to enrich their knowledge and experience in order for them to become role models their country will be proud of.
